Surf Trip!

Scott and I got recently went on a surf trip up north. We've been eyeing a section of coastline for a little bit and the right conditions presented themselves and we decided to go. Here are some of the results.

After a 4 mile hike in the rain we reached the waves, but no watercraft to ride them. The unfortunate part was the 4 miles back to the truck against the wind and rain. The swell was supposed to be up in the morning.

We were waiting for the rangers to open the visitors center in the morning, we bought our off road permit and set off onto the sand. This was the best parking spot around.

I was late on the shutter, but a second before this was taken, Scott dropped into this crazy double up, here he is trying to make it around the section.

Here's Scott again.

The next morning when we arrived. No one out, but it was good to go. Super drifty.

This looks like the point as the tide was changing.

Here I am standing behind the truck out of the wind trying to stay warm in the sunshine.

Here's a shot of the point again.

Driving back the sun set was awesome.

Heres the same sun the next morning in Virginia Beach.

Looking down the line on a nice one before work.
